Provost Academy believes that it is critical to the education of every child to create a well‐rounded culture of respect and understanding in a school that celebrates diversity and individuality. By providing students with cutting‐edge technology, customized core curriculum, and an additional focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) electives, our students will develop the skills necessary to succeed in today’s high-tech world. As students meet high academic expectations and achieve academic success, they will blend these skills into the core knowledge‐base necessary to become intelligent, ethical, responsible, and civic‐minded adults.

Our mission is to provide all students the opportunity and resources needed to graduate from high school and prepare students to succeed in higher education and ultimately in today’s global economy. We will accomplish this mission by providing a diverse range of high school students with individualized and highly engaging core instruction coupled with a STEM‐focused electives curriculum. With courses delivered via the internet, students may work either remotely or at a specifically configured Magic Johnson Bridgescape Learning Centers.

Located around the state, Magic Johnson Bridgescape Learning Centers represent the next generation in blended learning and give students of all backgrounds the flexibility of online learning with the structure and support of site‐based instruction and guidance. Onsite advisors work directly with students to create an Individualized Instruction Plan that identifies areas of academic strength and weakness and charts a course towards success by blending career and life goals with the overall academic plan. Depending on the student’s defined path, the recommended amount of time spent at the Magic Johnson Bridgescape Learning Centers will vary, but students are always free to spend as much time as they personally require at a Learning Center.

Each student is assigned an advisor who works with the student to understand his or her learning styles and skills to craft a schedule that best blends onsite and remote work and maximizes the student’s chances for success. The advisor remains with the student for his or her entire academic career, and therefore will be able to adjust the student’s plan and onsite schedule based on overall progress. However, even students who are enrolled in a fully virtual capacity always maintain the option of “dropping in” at the Learning Center for face‐to‐face tutoring or in person discussions with their advisor.
